David Lewis is an artist inspired by the Penwith landscape, where he lives and works. Using oil on board and canvas he captures the raw, wild and unkept peninsula- the drama of the Atlantic coast; his experience of which is personal as he worked at sea for a large period of his life. 

Now in his mature years, David reflects on his experiences through the rich application of oil paint and occasionally collaged elements such as cutting of fishing net from his time at sea.
