Painter  Keith Bunt

Keith lives and works close to his subject matter, near Fowey in Cornwall. Keith is a modern impressionist with a unique way with colour; a flick of a brush describes a sail billowing in the wind or a kite flying on a windy day at Carne beach. Keith’s depictions of the river Fal and Helford are atmospheric with light diffusing through mist or shimmering off choppy water.

Keith’s works held at the gallery are small pieces on board, beautifully presented with wide wooden borders to set off the image. The works look great in groups and relate a wonderful narrative of riverside life, for example. At times a single rowing boat is depicted, a boat at rest, or a windswept tree on the edge of a hill; broken colour is used to create a real atmosphere and figures invite a personal connection within the landscape.
